Frittata with broccoli rabe →
After my last debacle with a frittata, I questioned my kitchen skills. Now, I’m wondering if it was the stupid recipe I was using, which had about five million ingredients in it.
This is the kind of recipe and ingredient combination that actually makes sense to me from beginning to end.
I consider this my new challenge.

Sage Biscuits
– This recipe looks intriguing. And I like sage, especially in my family’s recipe for sage cornbread dressing. Not that I would serve them together, but there will be more than one occasion to serve these biscuits.

Cranberry Parker House Rolls
– The New York Times featured this recipe a couple of years ago, and I knew I had to make them.
And I did.
And when my Dranny asked me to make them again, I knew I had a winner.
This holiday season, I want to make them again.

There is nothing better on a cold wintry night than a properly made pot pie
– Craig Claiborne
I’m going to try to remember this when winter in Nebraska sets in and I’m cursing the 20 below temperatures.
